Destination Wedding Schloss Mittersill , Austria
07 June 2019
Becky, who is originally from Austria first met Josh, a Yorkshire lad, when he attended a ski coaching course run by her Sister. She said he arrived like a whirlwind and after striking up a friendship they soon realised they were meant to be together and Becky moved to Yorkshire to start a new life with him.
There was of course only one choice for their wedding venue, it had to be in the Austrian mountains in Winter, where after the wedding they could spend the week skiing.
The week before the wedding Austria had more snow than it had had in years and everybody ( including me ) was a little worried but Becky assured us that all the roads were open and it would be wonderful, she wasn't wrong ! the scenery was beautiful, the trees were frozen and the locals were still clearing snow from their roofs. In front of the hotel, there was at least a foot of snow which Becky ( in Boots ) and Josh were happy to stand on and slightly sink into just so we could get some wonderful views of the mountains.
The story starts the day before the wedding when we had a pre wedding shoot at the amazing Krimml waterfall. Here are a few pictures of that and a flavour of their intimate wedding shared with close family and friends which included traditional dancers instead of a first dance - great fun!
If you are planning a wedding abroad and would like to take a photographer with you, please get in touch for a chat, I'm happy to take my natural, relaxed style of wedding photography anywhere!
Thank you, Becky and Josh, for asking me to capture your very special wedding
